Welcome

We welcome you to Park Elementary School. Here, highly qualified teachers and a supportive community aid your child in reaching his or her personal best. We strive to provide a safe and nourishing atmosphere during these critical years in a child’s life.

Park Elementary’s motto, "Personal Best Equals Success," is perfect for children during these early years where each develops his or her own set of interests and talents. We do our best to encourage our students through a variety of special programs such as fine arts, technology, our news team, and show choir. We know your child will find a niche here where he or she will thrive.

We appreciate your interest in Park Elementary School. Knowing how important education is for you and your family, we welcome you to explore this website in your research. We look forward to seeing you soon!

A Message From Our Principal

Welcome to Park Elementary School! We have many new additions to our Park family. We hired two new 6th grade teachers, Mrs. Kayla Cottingham and Mrs. Christine Myers. Also, we are thrilled to welcome Mrs. Janelle Ray, our new social worker who is with us full time! Our theme for the 2016-2017 school year is student leadership -- discovering the leader in each of us. We are working hard to learn all about the 7 Healthy Habits to Happy Kids! Please help us reinforce #studentleadership with the following habits:

  1. Be Proactive -- You’re in Charge
  2. Start with End in Mind -- Have a Plan
  3. Put First Things First -- Work First, Then Play
  4. Think Win Win -- Everyone Can Win
  5. Seek First to Understand, Then to be Understood -- Listen Before You Talk
  6. Synergize -- Together is Better
  7. Sharpen the Saw -- Balance Feels Best

Our Park Eagles will be learning about and completing many service-learning projects throughout the school year! Be on the lookout for ways to help not only our school, but also our community and even people around the world! You can locate all the awesome activities going on at Park through our social media outlets.

We will be presenting weekly video-newsletters this year in lieu of a building-wide, paper copy of the newsletter. Our videos will highlight important events, activities going on, and other Park news. You will be able to locate these videos on all of our social media outlets, the MGUSC sites, and the Park YouTube channel.

If you ever have questions, concerns, or need anything at all, please do not hesitate to contact me.

Sincerely,

Emily K. Tracy
